I’m a dedicated and compassionate student counsellor working towards a BA (Hons) Counselling and Psychology.
I’m a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, with a particular interest in working with LGBTQIA+ clients. My approach is rooted in Person-Centred Therapy (PCT), which emphasises empathy, unconditional positive regard, and the belief in each client's inherent potential for personal growth.
I provide a safe, affirming, and inclusive space for all individuals. I believe in the power of a non-directive, client-led approach to therapy, where the client is the expert on their own experiences. By focusing on creating a trusting and supportive environment that allows clients to explore their identities, emotions, and challenges without fear of judgment.
As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I understanding the unique experiences and struggles that we face. I am committed to supporting clients through issues related to coming out, identity exploration, relationships, and navigating societal challenges. I am particularly skilled in helping clients build resilience and self-acceptance, drawing on their own lived experiences and professional training to offer empathetic and informed support.
Jay offers online sessions on Mondays and Thursdays from 6:30pm and Saturdays from 5pm and in person sessions on Fridays evenings in 95 Baggot Street Lower.
Trainee’s therapists fees are 20 euros per session. This fee structure ensures that we can cover operational costs while providing accessible mental health care.
